  5. The SIS Construction Accounting system contains five integrated modules --
  6. payroll, job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  7. -- to automate bookkeeping for contractors. It is ideally suited for
  8. contractors with prevailing wage jobs, union reporting and/or multiple city and
  9. state tax withholding

  11. The payroll module prints certified labor, union, city tax, unemployment
  12. reports, and W-2 forms. The job cost module connects to payroll, payables,
  13. billings, and receipts, gives a complete transaction history for contract jobs,
  14. and includes provisions for picking up material unit quantities from invoices.
  15. The accounts payable module connects with job cost so invoices are only handled
  16. once. The accounts receivable module handles retainages and has a flexible
  17. invoice printing system that accommodates all types of contract billing. The
  18. general ledger has an easy to understand debit/credit system and connects to
  19. all of the other modules
